Twilight by Stephenie Meyer is an excellent book. I am now reading the sequel to it, which is just as good. It's called New Moon.
The David Pelzer series are great books. Their so sad, but you never want to put it down, because you want to see what will happen next. The first of the series is A CHILD CALLED IT. They're really good.
